One-line lede
Users see "No records were added" when trying to add Products from an Account subform into CRM modules (Quotes, Sales Orders, Invoices) — the UI accepts the entry but the related product lines don’t save.
What it means
Zoho CRM refused to persist the product-line records created from the Account subform. This typically happens where the product subform entry fails server-side validation, hits an execution/Deluge limit, or conflicts with a required-field rule or extension workflow so the parent record saves but the subform rows are dropped [1][6][5].
Common causes
- Required product fields (Rate, Quantity, Product lookup) are blank or invalid, and the record-level validation or mandatory field setting blocks the subform save [1].
- A server-side workflow, custom function (Deluge) or extension runs on the parent record and throws an error or exceeds execution limits while processing subform lines [6][5].
- A third-party connector (Shopify/WooCommerce plugin or other extension) interferes with subform payloads or sends malformed product data [1].
- Temporary Zoho service or Deluge runtime outage prevents subform processing; parent record saved, sub-records failed to write [5].
How to fix it
- Reproduce with a simple manual test: open the Account, add a single product row with minimal valid values (Product lookup, Quantity = 1, Rate > 0), save. If it saves, the problem is data or integration-specific.
- Check required fields and field validation: open Setup > Modules > Accounts (or the target module) > Layouts, confirm the Products subform fields marked mandatory exist and match incoming names/types. Fix missing required values in the payload or form UI [1].
- Review recent workflows and custom functions: go to Setup > Automation > Workflow Rules and Setup > Functions (Deluge). Disable or log the function, then retry. Look for exceptions, timeouts, or “exceeded limit” entries in function logs [6][5].
- Test without third-party connectors: temporarily disable the WooCommerce/Shopify integration or other extensions and attempt the product add. If it works, inspect the connector mapping and API payload for missing or misnamed subform keys [1].
- Check system status and retry later: confirm Zoho service health and Deluge runtime status on status.zoho.com or community advisories; if Deluge had an outage, wait and re-run the operation [5].
- If records are lost, re-create product lines via Data Import or API: export the Account ID and product data, then use the CRM API or Import > Module Import to add the product rows to the correct parent module.
When to escalate
If you reproduced the issue with valid minimal data, disabled custom code and connectors, and Deluge/system status is healthy, open a support ticket with Zoho. Provide: module name, Account ID, timestamps, a sample payload or screenshot, and any Deluge function logs so support can trace the server-side rejection.
