Who we are

Beam Help is a service operated by Scalarly, a company registered in the European Union. Scalarly acts as the data controller for all personal data processed through this service. Contact: privacy@beamhelp.com.

Data we collect

We collect: email addresses and names provided during registration; conversation content (questions and answers) you submit to the service; IP addresses used solely for rate limiting and abuse prevention; and payment metadata (plan type, transaction date, amount) processed via Stripe. We do not store card numbers or full payment credentials — those are held exclusively by Stripe.

Lawful basis

We process your data on the following bases: legitimate interest for operating and securing the service (rate limiting, fraud prevention); contract performance for delivering features you have paid for; and, where applicable, consent for any optional marketing communications (which you may withdraw at any time).

How we use your data

Your data is used to: provide the Beam Help support service; improve service quality and response accuracy; manage billing and credits; and ensure platform security. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Sub-processors

We use the following sub-processors: Cloudflare, Inc. (Workers compute, D1 database, Vectorize vector store, Email Routing — data may be processed globally on the Cloudflare network); OpenRouter, Inc. (LLM inference — conversation content is transmitted for AI response generation); Stripe, Inc. (payment processing — payment metadata only, no card numbers). Each sub-processor is bound by a data processing agreement.

Data retention

Account and profile data is retained until you request deletion. Conversation data is retained for 24 months from the date of last activity. Audit and billing logs are retained for 2 years to comply with legal and financial obligations. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies: a session token to keep you signed in, a theme preference cookie, and a locale preference cookie. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. No consent banner is required for these strictly necessary cookies.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; rectify inaccurate data; request erasure of your data; receive your data in a portable format; restrict or object to processing; and lodge a complaint with your national Data Protection Authority. International transfers

Cloudflare Workers may process requests at edge locations worldwide. Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) agreed with our sub-processors to ensure an equivalent level of protection.

Security

All data in transit is protected by TLS 1.3. Data at rest is encrypted by Cloudflare's storage layer. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel on a least-privilege basis. We conduct regular security reviews.

Children

Beam Help is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact privacy@beamhelp.com and we will delete it promptly.
